Guided by the Community

A successful Downtown plan is guided by the voices of those who understand the area best: residents, businesses, and stakeholders from key institutions and organizations. Throughout the planning process, we will engage the community to learn about your vision and to gather your feedback. This input will help inform the plan and the future of Downtown Woodstock.

Project Phases

The planning process will take a two-phased approach:

Phase I -Research and Engage.

Phase I brings together community voices, local stakeholders, and expert research to gain an in-depth understanding of Downtown Woodstock. We’ll create a summary of our findings to capture key insights and set the stage for what’s next. This phase builds a strong foundation to inform future planning.

Phase 2 - Envision and Strategize.

In this phase, the planning team will explore strategies and design concepts. We will focus on economic revitalization, tourism, housing, public spaces, placemaking, historic preservation, mobility, sustainability, and more. This phase will culminate with a Master Plan and Implementation Plan that brings everything together for a thriving, well-balanced future.
